Of the 4 secret societies, I find the Sanguine Pact to offer the most in-game fun, trying to level those vampires to absurd heights in order to obliterate opposing armies. My end-goal is to level a vampire up to +100. I agree that they are fun, though overpowered, I am still not convinced.

Vampires can die if they battle while at 1hp, you always have to let them heal at least once. I had the opposite happen, probably a bug though. Which means that early game, your vampire is getting hammered by enemy warriors who with minor bonuses like promotions, intel bonus, or difficulty bonus manage to out power you.
