AUSTIN, Texas – Just a month after Austin’s popular Mexican restaurant El Patio closed down, it is preparing to reopen with new some additions. Restaurant closed in July. Family members stepped up to save it. El Patio will reopen at the end of September. Owned and operated by David Joseph and family, El Patio has a rich history in Austin.

Maudies and EyM were two of the worst Tex mex meals I’ve ever had. Basically anywhere in town that uses the “Jorge Arredondo’s” recipes. Terrible refried beans at most Austin places too.
