In a recent thread on the American Longrifles Forum, Jim gave some insight to where the Kibler Hawken is in production, as well as some of their expansion plans due to the success of the 2021 business year. Yes, we are working on another rifle offering. This is based to some degree on the original commonly referred to as the "Woodsrunner" rifle.
This barrel can basically be described as a three stage, octagon to round barrel. The forward most section is round, the middle section is also round, but separated by wedding bands and the breech section is octagon with decorative file work. This is a barrel form typically seen on 17th century smoothbore guns. Starting barrel profile.
