First time Lilith, you probably want Mind Games. It's her most OP skill and makes playing her and the game easy. Get a Double Anarchy (SMG) and you will roll everything. Phoenix is my favourite build, though and is also amazing. You'll need a good Firefly mod and once you add in a Hellfire, it's a lot of fun.

But criticals are the only way you can damage Crawmerax, so you might as well take Slayer. Before you start the fight, make sure you have similar equipment listed. Get a feel of the battlefield.
