The Tate Modern was founded in 1899 & is one of the world's largest museums. It's housed in what was originally the Bankside Power Station. I was curious where the name Tate came from and discovered Henry Tate was a sugar magnate who invested in the arts. Here we found Great Britains collection of international modern & contemporary art.
