For NMS 2 I hope they truly make them cater to different play styles. I would have explorers be the only ones with summon ship ability on surface. Haulers with drastically more cargo space. Fighters able to cycle through weapon modes. Also, each would be able to carry one vehicle, again in accordance to their respective type/class/size.

But i still want to bring my 2 cents to the table. From what i have seen, there are two side of the debate: "ship customization would ruin the exploring aspect of the game" and "there should be at least painting." Now, i think there is a way to have full customization without ruining the exploration aspect of the game.
