The 39-2 was produced between 1971-1982 and, according to the Supica/Nahas catalog, the last 39-2, serial number A747148, was shipped. from the factory on 15 Feb 1983. The Appendices B, Section 3 shows 39 serial numbers A655001- A745000 were made in 1981.It is chambered for the .38 S&W Round, and has a 3 3/16" barrel. The only serial number I can find is on the bottom of the grip but of the revolver. The number has only four digits, 36xx. The revolver is in very good mechanical condition with a clean up-pitted barrel.
