Adjusting float on holley

We install the float and secure it with its hinge pin. The float dimension should be 1/4″ at a point 180 degrees from the inlet valve. Ours needs adjustment. Needle nose pliers are used to carefully bend the adjustment arm on our float. We end up removing and reinstalling the float a couple times before we get the setting right.

Just use a big screwdriver and a wrench on the nut. Hold the wrench on the nut, and losen the screw. Take off the side plug on the bowl. Turn the nut until the fuel level just barely starts to trickle out of the side hole. Tighten the screw on top of the nut. Put the side plug back in. Thats it! 4. To adjust, shut down the engine. 5. Loosen the lock screw on top of the fuel bowl just enough to allow you to turn the adjusting nut. Hold the screw in position with the screwdriver. 6.
